US 17/SC 707 Interchange [ Projected Development ]

Description: Construction of a grade-separated interchange at the existing US 17/SC 707 intersection at the backgate of the former Myrtle Beach Air Force Base.

Status: A design consultant (STV/RWA) has been selected. We are currently in contract negotiations with the Consultant and expect to have a contract signed/executed and a notice-to-proceed October 2007. Future milestones and anticipated begin/completion dates are as follows:

Preliminary Design: Fall 2007- Summer 2009
Right-of-way acquisition Summer 2009- Summer 2010
Construction Summer 2010- Fall 2013
